What were the causes of the events that led to the death of Mitrice Richardson in the mountains above Calabasas and Monte Nido? On September 16th, 2009, Mitrice Richardson was in the middle of what seemed to be a psychotic break or major bipolar episode, and was arrested at Geoffrey's, a famous restaurant in Malibu, for not paying her bill. After being booked and released in Calabasas at the Lost Hills Sheriff Station shortly after midnight, Mitrice disappeared. She was later spotted wandering around nearby Monte Nido, several miles away, but thereafter disappeared into the hills, never to be seen alive again. Despite a massive search by authorities and volunteers, it wasn't until almost a year later that the authorities stumbled on her mummified body while searching for another case.
